Material Volume Correction Factor (VCF)
Use the Material Volume Correction Factor (VCF) calculation to calculate the volume change for a fluid due to temperature expansion. The VCF of a fluid is a function of the following variables
- Expansion coefficient
- Base temperature
- Fluid actual temperature
The result of this calculation is a dimensionless multiplier that, when applied to the gross volume, results in a corrected volume (Net Volume).
The VCF Calculation accesses tables in the modeling database for specific product expansion information. See Using the VCF Section Tables for details and calculation methods for each VCF section.
For steps on configuring the VCF calculation, see Configuring - Volume Correction Factor.
